Cal started studying Spanish in elementary school. Over the years, he has developed a strong passion for the art of translation.

 
 

LGBTQ History Tour, greenwich village, new york, ny

While interning for the National Parks Conservation Association, Cal Goodin, working with colleague Sergio Moncada, translated this walking tour map from English to Spanish. Learn more about the places in Greenwich Village that paved the way for the Stonewall Uprising and eventually the designation of our first national park site dedicated to LGBTQ history. LA DONCELLA Y LA PRINCESA

For his final project for a translation class his senior year of college, Cal translated a series of children’s books with LGBTQ+ themes. One book he translated was Maiden and Princess by Daniel Haack and Isabel Galupo. Click on the image to see his complete Spanish translation.
